Welcome to the Miriam Raju Foundation Website
For families caring for their sons and daughters with disabilities at home.
The Miriam Raju Foundation was launched in Brisbane in April 2006. It was established by Miriam’s parents and godparents as a way of remembering Miriam in a practical way and to assist families who have sons and daughters with disabilities to continue to care for their children at home.
The Annual Gathering of the Miriam Raju Foundation will be held on Saturday, 16th April, from 5pm – 7pm at Duhig Hall, Lourdes Hill College, Hawthorne.
As many of you know this will be the final gathering of our friends and supporters as the Foundation will close this year at the end of June. We warmly invite you to join us for this last chance to celebrate the work of the Foundation and to catch up with old friends who have supported our work for the past 10 years.
The invitation will be posted on the website in March and will be posted or emailed to all on our mailing list. You are most welcome to join us even if you do not receive a formal invitation. To help with catering please remember to RSVP by Monday, 11th April.
Donations will be received up to, and including, the evening of Annual Gathering. All funds will be given to families prioritised through the application process. We look forward to assisting as many families as we can before the Foundation closes.
We would like to thank the many people who have supported the Foundation over the past ten years. It has been a privilege to work with you and with the families we have been able to support in that time.
The Miriam Raju Foundation will offer grants for the last time in 2015-2016.
Grants from the October 2015 round have now been finalised. All families who applied for funding will be contacted before the end of November regarding the success of their application.
In order to disburse any residual funds from the Trust there will be a final round of grants offered before the end of the financial year in 2016.
Applications must be submitted by 31st March for this final round.
If you wish to apply for a grant please read carefully the Guidelines for Applicants on this website, particularly with regard to information about completion dates for large projects.
